what are friends for? well, among many good things, taking pictures of delicious baked goods. delicious
auspicious baked goods, might i add, given the timing of this shot.
could it be...bread baked in the shape of a turtle?! found nowhere but in my favorite city (read my ode to my favorite city
here).
thank you feng(a) and grant. this is most definitely a sign that 2006 will be thoroughly fulfilling, happy, and full of baked surprises.

Now that is a piece of bread! Cool!
I second Joe! What's the significance of the turtle? Does it mean something beyond that your friends rock?
i love turtles. i think they are cool. i spent two years of my childhood caring for a little painted turtle before releasing him back to the wild (the turtle pond at hole 9 of stow acres country club). anyway...the turtle also has symbolic significance across world cultures. it is used to represent the precious state of human existence in buddhism. and it is the central figure in the iroquois and lakota creation stories. don't you love how google can help justify just about anything?
